El fantasma del Che

Abstract

Este artículo desarrolla un análisis crítico de El Che en la frontera (2016), la obra teatral póstuma del escritor y dramaturgo argentino David Viñas (1927–2011). Analizada en relación con el resto de su dramaturgia y apoyada con textos de intervención que Viñas publicó en la década del setenta y el ochenta, la lectura de esta pieza echa luz sobre el persistente y deliberado trabajo de crítica y desarticulación de la construcción mitológica de la figura del Che Guevara impulsada y naturalizada desde la «mala fe» del discurso progresista posrevolucionario en Latinoamérica.

This article develops a critical analysis of El Che en la frontera (2016), the posthumous play by Argentinean writer and playwright David Viñas (1927-2011). Analysed in relation to the rest of his dramaturgy and supported by intervention texts that Viñas published in the seventies and eighties, the reading of this piece sheds light on the persistent and deliberate work of criticism and disarticulation of the mythological construction of the figure of Che Guevara promoted and naturalized from the mauvaise foi of the progressivism post-revolutionary discourse in Latin America.
