Pasos, relojes y motores: Ritmos urbanos y experiencias de la temporalidad en la Córdoba de 1950 (Argentina)

Abstract

Este trabajo reflexiona sobre las experiencias temporales y ritmos experimentados por los habitantes de Córdoba a mediados del siglo XX, momento en que se produjo una masificación de su población, la instalación de industrias automotrices y metalmecánicas, y la ampliación de su superficie urbanizada. A partir de un cruce entre la perspectiva antropológica y la histórica, se busca indagar en los ritmos y tiempos que movían esa ciudad, tanto impulsados desde el Estado y otros sectores de poder, como construidos por residentes y visitantes a partir de sus actividades y recorridos. El material analizado combinó información hallada en diarios de la década de 1950; ordenanzas, decretos y boletines municipales de la misma época; y material de trabajo de campo en tres barrios de Córdoba en torno a sus memorias barriales.

This paper reflects on the temporal experiences and rhythms experienced by the inhabitants of Córdoba in the mid-twentieth century, a time of population massification, the installation of automotive and metal-mechanical industries, and the expansion of its urbanized area. From a cross between the anthropological and historical perspective, we seek to investigate the rhythms and times that moved that city, both driven by the State and other sectors of power, as well as constructed by residents and visitors from their activities and tours. The material analyzed combined information found in newspapers from the 1950s; ordinances, decrees and municipal bulletins from the same period; and fieldwork material in three neighborhoods of Córdoba about their neighborhood memories.
