Conversando sobre virus, naturalezas e historia: Un diálogo situado junto a un líder indígena qom en el Gran Chaco

Abstract

El corazón de este texto es una entrevista grabada a un líder indígena qom, Israel Alegre, a través de un teléfono celular, en plena pandemia de Covid-19. En el manuscrito, no se interpretan o analizan las palabras del entrevistado sino, más bien, se intentan establecer vínculos y conexiones con otros aspectos del mundo qom, con otras cosmologías indígenas –leídas a través de contribuciones etnográficas– y con ciertas propuestas filosóficas. Así, se van hilando las palabras de Israel Alegre con notas y reflexiones propias de la autora. Y, si bien la conversación versó principalmente sobre la actual pandemia, se podrá leer la conexión que la misma tiene con las naturalezas e historias que el devenir indígena va componiendo.

The heart of this text is a recorded interview with a Qom indigenous leader, Israel Alegre, through a cell phone, in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. In the manuscript, the words of the interviewee are not interpreted or analyzed, but rather, an attempt is made to establish links and connections with other aspects of the Qom world, with other indigenous cosmologies –read through ethnographic contributions– and with certain philosophical proposals. Thus, the words of Israel Alegre are linked with notes and reflections of the author. And, although the conversation was mainly about the current pandemic, the connection that it has with the natures and stories that the indigenous becoming is composing, can be read.
