El turismo rural en Lobos (Argentina): Desarrollo local en el proceso agroalimentario

Abstract

En diferentes municipios de la Provincia de Buenos Aires es posible identificar nuevos usos del territorio desde mediados de la década de 1990, resultando en actividades innovadoras que coexisten con la agricultura, la ganadería y el agronegocio. El turismo rural cobra importancia porque promueve ingresos y empleos adicionales en una coyuntura donde las nuevas ruralidades resignifican el vínculo urbano-rural. Es una apropiación social del espacio a partir de las relaciones de poder y su carácter arquitectónico que vincula al sistema productivo con sus actores y las instituciones gubernamentales. El territorio se convierte en un problema económico, pero también político, social y ambiental que requiere de conocimientos específicos para identificar la heterogeneidad de sus componentes que permiten su puesta en valor como patrimonio. En este entramado pampeano se inserta el turismo rural del Partido de Lobos que será abordado a partir de un estudio interdisciplinar que acerca las herramientas del turismo a las perspectivas sociológicas, geográficas y medioambientales.

In different municipalities of the Province of Buenos Aires it is possible to identify new uses of the territory since the mid‑1990s, that have resulted in innovative activities that coexist with agriculture, livestock and agricultural business. Rural tourism has become important because it promotes income and additional employment in a situation where the new rural life is re‑signifying urban‑rural links. It is a social appropriation of space of power relations and architectural character that links the productive system with its actors and government institutions. Territory becomes an economic problem, but also a political, social and environmental one that requires specific knowledge to identify the heterogeneity of its components that allow it to be valued as heritage. Rural tourism in Partido de Lobos is within the framework of the Pampas, and will be dealt with in an interdisciplinary study that brings the tools of tourism from the sociological, geographical and environmental perspectives.
