“Es una lucha constante”: Análisis de experiencias de jugadoras de fútbol en la Argentina

Abstract

Este artículo pretende recuperar la experiencia de las futbolistas en la Argentina en el periodo inmediatamente anterior a la profesionalización y analizarla en relación con las estructuras sociales en las cuales se inserta. A partir de las categorías de experiencia y agencia, y basándonos en entrevistas a jugadoras de fútbol, analizamos las trayectorias de mujeres que sostienen una práctica deportiva en condiciones de extrema desigualdad y en un ámbito profundamente machista, partiendo de los siguientes interrogantes: ¿qué continuidades y rupturas existen en las experiencias de mujeres futbolistas? ¿Cómo se relacionan estas experiencias con las estructuras de género de nuestra sociedad, y de qué manera se expresa esta relación en el fútbol? ¿Hasta qué punto el feminismo se constituye en marco de interpretación de esas experiencias y cómo articula la lucha contra la desigualdad de género en el deporte?.

This article aims to recover the experience of soccer players in Argentina in the period immediately prior to professionalization and analyze it in relation to the social structures in which it is inserted. From the categories of experience and agency, and based on interviews with female soccer players, we analyze the trajectories of women who practice sports in conditions of extreme inequality and in a profoundly macho environment, starting from the following questions: what continuities and ruptures exist in the experiences of women soccer players? How are these experiences related to the gender structures of our society, and how is this relationship expressed in football? To what extent does feminism constitute a framework for interpreting these experiences and how does it articulate the fight against gender inequality in sport?.
