La miamización del delta del Tigre: Proceso de desreterritorialización del urbanismo neoliberal en las islas

Abstract

Este trabajo aborda el reciente proceso de reconfiguración territorial de la Primera Sección de Islas del Delta del Paraná, partido de Tigre. Históricamente se lo ha asociado a las imágenes de isleños en canoas repletas de cestos de mimbre con frutas y hortalizas que arribaban al Puerto de Frutos a venderlas, a la par que a la imagen del río y al deporte del remo. Lentamente comenzó a avizorarse la imagen del nuevo Miami. Desde el campo teórico-práctico de la ecología política latinoamericana y la geografía crítica, recorreremos el proceso de reconfiguración territorial en la Primera Sección de Islas del Delta de Tigre. Específicamente la des-reterritorialización del urbanismo neoliberal en el territorio insular bajo la modalidad de urbanizaciones cerradas, barrios náuticos o countries.

This work addresses the recent process of territorial reconfiguration of the First Section of the Paraná Delta Islands, Tigre municipality. Historically it has been associated with the images of islanders in canoes full of wicker baskets with fruits and vegetables that came to the Puerto de Frutos to sell them, along with the river and the sport of rowing. Slowly the image of the new Miami begins to be seen. From the practical theoretical field of Latin American political ecology and critical geography, we will go through the process of territorial reconfiguration in the First Section of the Tigre Delta Islands. Specifically the de-reterritorialization of neoliberal urbanism in the insular territory under the modality of closed urbanizations, nautical districts or countries gated community.
