Nuevas formas de pensar la política a partir del pensamiento ético de Emmanuel Levinas

Abstract

El presente artículo se muestra cómo las significaciones que otorgan sentido a la dimensión político-normativa en cuanto tal no son el producto de una traspolación de ideales a-histórico a priori, que se aplican deductivamente sobre cada situación histórica concreta. Pues la dimensión política posee autonomía propia y encuentra su sentido en sí misma, sin necesidad de recurrir a instancias externas que la validen en cuanto tal. Sin embargo, se pone de manifiesto cómo a través de una necesaria mediación histórica inmanente se teje una intriga inicial de carácter intersubjetivo y práctico-lingüístico que vincula la dimensión de los sentidos éticos con la dimensión política y sus implicaciones prácticas. Se demuestra de esta manera que la praxis del habla, tal y como la entiende Levinas pero tambien tal y como ya era considerada implícitamente en la antigua retórica, constituyen la forma de mediación por antonomasia a partir de la cual se instituyen los sentidos que otorgan significación a lo político en cuanto tal.

The article shows how the significations that give meaning to the normative political dimension as such are not the outcome resulting of transposing an a priori a-historical set of ideals deductively applied into each concrete historical situation. For the political dimension has its own autonomy and it finds its meaning in itself, without the necessity of referring itself to an external instance of validation. However, it becomes clear how through a necessary immanent historical mediation result an initial intersubjective and practical-linguistic intrigue that links both dimensions, the ethical one and the political, including its practical implications. In this way, it is shown how the praxis of speech, as conceived by Levinas but also as it was already implicitly envisioned in the ancient rhetoric, constitutes the form of mediation par excellence from which the significations that confer sense to the political are instituted.
