Sorteando los avatares del tiempo: Gestiones patrimoniales en el museo José M. Maciel de la ciudad de Coronda (Pcia. de Santa Fe)

Abstract

En este trabajo se presentan los resultados de la experiencia realizada desde el proyecto “Sorteando los avatares del tiempo” enmarcado en el programa “Territorio de Encuentros” e impulsado por el Ministerio de Innovación y Cultura de la Provincia de Santa Fe. Este proyecto comenzó a desarrollarse hacia comienzos del año 2017, con el objetivo de realizar una renovación integral del área de arqueología del Museo José M. Maciel de la ciudad de Coronda (Santa Fe). Esta institución constituye uno de los museos locales más importantes de la provincia dado su rico acervo arqueológico, sin embargo, por más de dos décadas las colecciones allí alojadas no contaron con un tratamiento pertinente y sistemático. A partir del vínculo generado entre la nueva gestión, la comunidad Corondá y el equipo de arqueólogos que comenzó a investigar en el área se logró actualizar y transformar la mirada del museo. La perspectiva de trabajo aquí adoptada, discute la noción del espacio museístico como mero repositorio de materiales, postulándolo, por el contrario, como un sitio dinámico de trabajo arqueológico y un espacio social donde reflexionar acerca de las relaciones entre el pasado y el presente.

This paper presents the results of the experience carried out from the project Sorteando los avatares del tiempo (Overcoming the pass of time) within the program Territorio de Encuentros (Meeting Territories) promoted by the Ministry of Innovation and Culture of the Province of Santa Fe. This project began to be developed towards the beginning of 2017, aiming at carrying out an integral renovation of the archeological area of the José M. Maciel Museum in Coronda city (Santa Fe). Although this institution is one of the most important local museums in the province because of its rich archeological heritage, for more than two decades the collections conserved there did not have a relevant and systematic treatment. From the relationship developed between the new management policy, the Corondá community and the team of archaeologists who began to research into the area, the museum’s conception was updated and transformed. The work perspective adopted here discusses the notion of the museum space as a mere repository of materials. On the contrary, it conceptualizes the museum as a dynamic site of archaeological work and a social space where relations between past and present are reconsidered.
