Memoria negativa y discontinuidad del recuerdo: La óptica koselleckiana

Abstract

En este artículo se explora el tratamiento de la memoria en la obra de Reinhart Koselleck, escasamente estudiado por la bibliografía especializada. El tema será abordado a partir de tres ejes poco visitados en su obra: la tensión entre memoria individual y negativa, la discontinuidad del recuerdo, correspondiente a la experiencia primaria, y su trabajo iconológico sobre monumentos del siglo XIX en adelante. Transitados estos puntos, se expondrán algunas ambigüedades que habitan su análisis. Estas recogen un desnivel entre el registro individual y común en el que tienen lugar las experiencias, la incapacidad de Koselleck de vislumbrar una memoria colectiva más allá del Estado y el problema de la intransmisibilidad de los recuerdos.

This article explores the treatment of memory in the work of Reinhart Koselleck, scarcely studied by the specialized bibliography. The theme will be approached from three axes little visited in his work: the tension between individual and negative memory, the discontinuity of memory, corresponding to a primary experience and his iconological work on monuments from the 19th century onwards. After these points, some ambiguities that inhabit its analysis will be exposed. These reflect a gap between the individual and social register in which experiences take place, Koselleck’s inability to glimpse a collective memory beyond the State and the problem of the instramisibility of memories.
