Superficies de placer, orgullo y asco: afectos y géneros en la espacialidad del campus universitario

Abstract

El propósito de este artículo es problematizar la relación entre afecto y espacialidad a partir de los resultados de una encuesta diseñada para identificar cuáles son las emociones que suscitan algunos espacios cotidianos para quienes trabajan y estudian en la Ciudad Universitaria de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), Argentina. La encuesta se realizó en el marco de una investigación en curso que tiene por objeto analizar el impacto de las políticas institucionales de género implementadas en la UBA a partir del año 2015. Se hace hincapié en dos hallazgos principales: por un lado, las tensiones entre indiferencia, asco y orgullo que suscitan los espacios generizados, algunos de ellos intervenidos o creados recientemente; por otro, las referencias a afectos como alegría, placer y miedo que provocan los espacios exteriores.

The objective of this article is to problematize the relationship between affect and spatiality through the results of a survey designed to identify the emotions provoked by certain everyday spaces for those who study and work at the University of Buenos Aires (uba). The survey was conducted as part of an ongoing research project whose goal is to analyze the impact of the institutional gender policies implemented by the uba from 2015 on. Two primary findings have been emphasized: on the one hand, the tensions between indifference, disgust and pride that are provoked by gendered spaces, some of them intervened or created only recently, and on the other, references to affects such as happiness, pleasure and fear that are provoked by exterior spaces.
