Muerte, poder y ficción en Magnetizado, de Carlos Busqued

Abstract

En este artículo, analizaremos el singular relato de Ricardo Melogno que propone Magnetizado (2018), de Carlos Busqued, indagando la peculiaridad de su narrativa testimonial en relación con los discursos psiquiátrico-criminológico y con diversos contenidos de la industria cultural que fueran asiduamente consumidos por el protagonista de la historia. Tomando en consideración el análisis foucaulteano acerca del mecanismo confesional de restitución punitiva, indagaremos la configuración narrativa de una matriz de percepción e inteligibilidad que ha obturado la resolución médico-jurídica del caso Melogno, iluminando una suerte de dispositivo de realidad-ficción en el que se entraman lo vivido y lo imaginado, lo presente y lo ausente, la experiencia y la representación. A partir del análisis de la exhibición explícita de la capacidad de dar la muerte como patrón dominante de expansión en la industria del entretenimiento, nos detendremos en el vacío semántico en torno al cual gravitan los crímenes pergeñados por Melogno, abriendo un campo de exploración crítica sobre el concepto de empoderamiento distópico, acuñado por Sayak Valencia (2010) en su abordaje del tejido simbólico profundo -social, cultural y político-, que modela relaciones, sentidos y jerarquías.

This article analyzes the singular tale of Ricardo Melogno as presented in Magnetizado (2018), by Carlos Busqued. It delves into the peculiarity of his testimonial narrative in relation with the psychiatric-criminalistic discourses and the wide-ranging contents from the cultural industry which were regularly consumed by the protagonist of the story. Taking into consideration the Foucauldian analysis with regard to the confessional mechanism of punitive restitution, we will examine the narrative configuration of a matrix of perception and intelligibility which obstructs the medical-legal resolution of the Melogno case, shedding light on a type of reality-fiction device in which the lived and the imagined, the present and the absent, experience and representation, are interwoven. From an analysis of the explicit exhibition of the capacity to allocate death as the dominant pattern of expansion in the entertainment industry, we will examine the semantic void around which the crimes committed by Melogno revolve, opening a field for critical exploration into the concept of dystopic empowerment, coined by Sayak Valencia (2010) in her approach towards the profound symbolic fabric -social, cultural and political- that shapes relationships, meanings, and hierarchies.
