Op Oloop: Una novela erótica ante la “respetabilidad” de la Nación

Abstract

Este texto forma parte del capítulo final de Juan Filloy en la década del 30 ha publicarse por Eduvim y está dedicado a la novela Op Oloop. Propongo que, frente a los modelos genérico-sexuales restrictivos exacerbados por el golpe de Estado de septiembre de 1930, Op Oloop irrumpe con la creación de un personaje protagonista al que le es imposible practicar el ―refreno‖ y cuyas fantasías eróticas transgreden el orden social. A lo largo del capítulo del que comparto un extracto, intento demostrar que la dinámica entre represión y liberación cumple un papel triple en Op Oloop. Primero, inscribe a la novela en la vertiente narrativa que la crítica reconoce como novela erótica. Segundo, cifra su retórica del lenguaje, marcada por la fricción entre una prosa preciosista, registros vulgares y, por momentos, la disolución del valor de nominación del significante. Tercero, y fundamental, produce una contra-narrativa respecto de un sistema discursivo y material de lo nacional basado en una construcción del amor ―heterosexual natural‖ ligado al orden familiar burgués, a la moral católica y a la represión del goce erótico.

This text is part of the final chapter of Juan Filloy in the 30s to be published by Eduvim and is dedicated to the novel Op Oloop. I propose that, in the face of restrictive genericsexual models exacerbated by the military coup of September 1930, Op Oloop bursts in with the creation of a leading character who is unable to practice a ―restraint of the passions‖ and whose erotic fantasies transgress the social order. Throughout the chapter from which I share an excerpt, I try to show that the dynamic between repression and liberation plays a triple role in Op Oloop. First, it inscribes the novel in the narrative aspect of the erotic novel. Second, that dynamic structure his rhetoric, marked by the friction between linguistic preciosity, vulgar registers and, at times, the dissolution of the nomination value of the signifier. Third, and fundamentally, it produces a counternarrative regarding a discursive and material system of the national based on a construction of "natural heterosexual" love linked to the bourgeois family order, Catholic morality and the repression of erotic enjoyment.
