dc.description.abstract
dc.description.abstract
In the following text I’ll expose some preliminary findings of an ongoing doctoral research, focused on the trajectories and experiences of users of oral hormonal contraceptives. Specifically, this work aims to share the main points in which the topic of that investigation comes into contact with concerns about menstruation and its closely related issues: artificial bleeding from contraceptive pills, (ir) regularity, ovulation, etc. For this, I’ll refer to the perceptions obtained in semistructured interviews with women in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires and also to some surveyed on social networks. Thus, this paper concludes that there exists an interest in rethinking the mentioned issues; placing special emphasis on the "regularity" and the non-contraceptive use of hormonal treatments.
