Реформировать университеты, революционизировать общество: Латиноамериканское студенческое движение

Abstract

В статье реконструируются движение студентов в первые десятилетия ХХ в., давшее начало Университетской реформе, начавшееся в Кордове, в Аргентина, в середине 1918 г. Благодаря революционному энтузиазму ряда студенческих групп и распространения их идей и способов борьбы по всей Латинской Америке. В данном тексте изучается содержание движения, чтобы показать, что новым явлением событий 1918 г. было участие левых, поддержавших требования студентов, доселе являвшихся частью системы олигархических республик. Таким образом, предполагается, что латиноамериканская и антиимпериалистическая идентичность Университетской Реформы, с которой она вошла в историю, появилась только в середине 20-х годов, значительно позднее самих этих событий.

The article reconstructs the student intervention during the first decades of the 20th century to link the University Reform, movement started in the middle of 1918 in Córdoba, Argentina. By highlighting the students’ revolutionary enthusiasm and the continental spread, the article seeks to show that the newness of 1918 was the inscription in the left of the student demands, until then in agreement with the oligarchic republics. So it proposes that the well-known Latin American and antiimperialist identity of the Reform, as characterized by the historiography on the subject, only takes shape in the middle of twenty decade.

El artículo reconstruye la intervención estudiantil que en las primeras décadas del siglo XX dio origen a la Reforma Universitaria, movimiento iniciado en Córdoba, Argentina, a mediados de 1918. Se atiende al entusiasmo revolucionario de una serie de grupos estudiantiles y a su expansión en América Latina para mostrar que la novedad de 1918 fue la inscripción en las izquierdas de reclamos estudiantiles hasta entonces convergentes con las repúblicas oligárquicas. Así, se sugiere que la identidad latinoamericana y antiimperialista de la Reforma, que viene identificando la historiografía sobre el tema, recién prima a mediados de la década del veinte.
