Resumen
The aim of this chapter is to introduce the processes of subjectivation arising in adverse contexts, as a result of the psychic vulnerability experienced by children under 3 years old, who are admitted to institutions in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The children hosted there have been detached from their biological parents owing to their progenitors’ own negligence, neglect or situations that put the child’s life at risk. This chapter shows the therapeutic process carried out, also known as Early Bonding Reanimation (Reanimación Vincular Temprana), which is framed within the theoretical developments inherent in Perinatal Psychology. Bonding reanimation consists in the strategies used by an adult person in charge of a child who is living under conditions of social vulnerability in order to make the child gain trust and communicational behaviors toward the surrounding people who could act as a support, thus strengthening the child’s process of subjectivation and psychic development.
