Lo tomo con pinzas: Elementos de teoría queer para estudiar sociológicamente el amor gay

Abstract

En este artículo recupero críticamente tres insumos analíticos de referentes de teoría queer para estudiar desde una perspectiva sociológica el amor en varones gays. Al tomar estos elementos la crítica hacia la fijación de identidades, los peligros de la desexualización de la sexo-diversidad y el intento por un análisis concreto del amor queer-, despliego los fundamentos del distanciamiento crítico con dicha literatura. El objetivo consiste en examinar los presupuestos teóricos y epistemológicos que estructuran ambas propuestas para reconocer los riesgos que conlleva tomar acríticamente postulados teóricos surgidos para reflexionar sobre objetos diferentes. Concluyo con la necesidad de tomar con cuidado propuestas analíticas para analizar fenómenos distintos.

I n this paper I critically draw in three analytical propositions from some referents of queer theory to study love among gay men from a sociological approach. In taking these three components -the criticism to fi xing identities, the dangers in the desexualisation of sexual-dissident people and the attempt at a concrete analysis of queer love-, I trace the reasons of a critical distance with that literature. The aim is to examine theoretical and epistemological assumptions that structure one and another analysis in order to recognize the risks that carry on in taking with no criticism theoretical statements merged for reflecting on diffferent objects. I conclude on the necessity of taking carefully analytical propositions when we study diffferent phenomena.
