La psicología argentina al promediar el siglo XX: la figura de Luis María Ravagnan

Abstract

El trabajo analiza las concepciones de psicología predominantes en el argentino Luis María Ravagnan al promediar el siglo XX. Ravagnan había egresado en 1940 del Instituto Nacional del Profesorado de Buenos Aires. Entre 1950 y 1956 fue Profesor del Primer Curso de Psicología en la Universidad de Buenos Aires A la caída del peronismo, llegó a ser profesor de Introducción a la Psicología y de Filosofía Contemporánea en la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, donde alcanzó la Dirección del Departamento de Psicología en 1964. Se analizan en particular la apropiación de Ravagnan de las ideas de Scheler, Brentano y Bergson, autores característicos de la llamada psicología filosófica en Argentina.

This paper analyses the main psychological ideas of the Argentine Luis María Ravagnan in the middle of the 20 th century. Ravagnan obtained his degree in Philosophy in 1940 from the National Institute of Higher Education in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Between 1950 and 1956, he was Professor of the First Course of Psychology at Buenos Aires University. After peronist’s days, he became Professor of both the courses: Introduction to Psychology and Contemporary Philosophy at the National University of La Plata, where he also was the Chief of the Psychology Department in 1964. It were analyzed specially Ravagnan’s reception of the ideas from Scheler, Brentano and Bergson, authors well­ known since the period of the so called in Argentina philosophical psychology.
