Gesto y percepción

Abstract

La definición de gesto como movimiento carente de causalidad propuesta por Vilém Flusser ha ramificado en maneras rupturistas de concebir y delimitar lo que deba ser considerado arte. Dicha definición presenta el problema de no poder establecer una relación estable entre gesto y cultura. De esta manera, expondremos primero el problema en cuestión y los callejones sin salida a los que lleva; luego vamos a tomar los aportes de Alex Martoni y Hernán Ulm (2016) en su reelaboración de «rituales redundantes» versus «rituales informativos» para complejizar la explicación del gesto en su nexo con lo intersubjetivo. Finalmente, proponemos ejemplos de gestos artísticos.

The definition of gesture as a movement lacking in causality proposed by Vilém Flusser has branched into rupturistic ways of conceiving and delimiting what should be considered art. This definition presents the problem of not being able to establish a stable relationship between gesture and culture. In this way, we will first expose the problem in question, and the dead ends to which it leads; then we will take the contributions of Martoni-Ulm in his reworking of «redundant rituals» vs. «informative rituals» to make the explanation of the gesture more complex in its nexus with the intersubjective. And finally we propose three examples of artistic gestures.
