When returns take longer than expected, before considering them as such, it seems necessary to imagine them as processes. The three elements of the title aim at emphasizing that there is something important for our work in the social sciences and humanities. Unlike Borges’ well known Encyclopedia series, which Michel Foucault quotes at the beginning of The Order Of Things, our title is not alphabetical, and it is far from being in ruins. A couple of decades after Fanon’s return to the Latin American arena of critical thought, it is far from producing the stupor of finding ourselves in the limits of our thought.1 Today we meet a kind of conceptual and theoretical common sense, formed by two important terms: Fanon and postcolonial criticism. The second part of the title is stated in plural since, in the form of hypothesis, it is possible to think that there is another method rather than heterogeneous reading and writing contexts in the articulation of the three elements in the first part of the title...
