Campo científico y agentes políticos y económicos en Brasil y Argentina durante el neoliberalismo: Aproximaciones teóricas

Abstract

El artículo se propone dar cuenta de tres vías para el análisis de procesos históricos y sociales relacionados con la caracterización y reconstrucción de trayectorias que permitan comprender la relación entre el campo científico y los agentes políticos y económicos, particularmente en Argentina y Brasil durante la década de 1990. Las transformaciones sociales, políticas y culturales que impuso el neoliberalismo plantean la necesidad de explorar y ampliar el corpus teórico para poder llegar con mayor precisión al entramado de instituciones y agentes que conforman los campos en estudio. A tal fin, se analizan los aportes de la sociología reflexiva, la sociología histórica de América latina y los estudios sociales de la ciencia, tecnología y sociedad a la caracterización de dicho problema.

This article aims to provide an account of three ways of analysing historical and social processes related to the characterisation and reconstruction of trajectories that allow us to understand the relationship between the scientific field and political and economic agents, particularly in Argentina and Brazil during the 1990s. The social, political and cultural transformations imposed by neoliberalism make it necessary to explore and expand the theoretical corpus in order to reach with greater precision the network of institutions and agents that make up the fields under study. For this purpose, the contributions of reflexive sociology, the historical sociology of Latin America and the social studies of science, technology and society to the characterisation of this problem are analysed.
