Resumen

Although the most relevant analysis we can find among ancient philosophers regarding the problem of practical voluntariness is Nicomachean Ethics 3, 1, in this paper I will try to show that the Aristotelian classification takes up, to a large extent, what was already outlined by Plato in Laws 9. My hypothesis is that the treatment of voluntariness in Laws 9 constitutes one of Aristotle’s ἔνδοξα.
