Verticalización del núcleo urbano central de Santa Fe: sus representaciones sociales entre 1966 y 2010

Abstract

El artículo describe y caracteriza la verticalización del núcleo urbano central de Santa Fe entre 1966 y 2010 y sus impactos en la dinámica urbana del tejido central a partir de tres cuestiones: los cambios morfológicos; la emergencia de nuevos actores y la generación de nuevos instrumentos de regulación urbana. A partir de estas tres cuestiones se registran las alteraciones en las representaciones y los significados sociales sobre el edificio en altura y sus efectos: de indicador de progreso y avance urbano a elemento que degrada el patrimonio arquitectónico y los usos de sectores urbanos.

This article discusses the verticalization of the urban center of Santa Fe between 1966 and 2010 and its impact on the urban dynamic of the central tissue from three issues: morphological changes; the emergence of new social actors and the creation of new instruments of urban regulation. From these issues the modifications of the meanings and social representations of buildings height and its effects are recorded: from an indicator of progress and urban advancement to an element that degrades the architectural heritage and uses of urban areas.
