Unidades lingüísticas empleadas por los fans del anime y del manga en la ciudad de Córdoba

Abstract

El presente trabajo analiza las unidades lingüísticas que emplean los fans del anime y del manga en la ciudad de Córdoba. Para este estudio se realizaron observaciones participantes, encuestas y entrevistas semiestructuradas en eventos y reuniones a las que asistieron los fans de la cultura otaku. Todas las entrevistas fueron grabadas en audio y posteriormente transcriptas. En una primera etapa, se realizó un análisis cualitativo de la información empírica. Específicamente, se identificaron 120 unidades lingüísticas propias de la jerga otaku y se las clasificó según: 1) el tipo de unidad lingüística (afijo, palabra, frase); 2) la neología; 3) la lengua de origen y 4) el campo semántico al cual pertenecían. Posteriormente, se cuantificaron las unidades lingüísticas incluidas en cada una de las categorías y se comparó su distribución en el corpus de datos según la edad de los participantes que las proporcionaron. Los resultados pusieron de manifiesto que la mayor parte de las unidades lingüísticas relevadas fueron palabras que constituyen préstamos del japonés. A su vez, la mayoría de las unidades lingüísticas se categorizaron dentro de los dominios "género audiovisual" y "pauta social". La mayor parte de las unidades fueron proporcionadas por los hablantes más jóvenes.

The present work analyzes the linguistic units used by anime and manga fans in Córdoba city. For this study, participant observations, surveys and semi-structural interviews were carried out at events and meetings attended by fans of otaku culture. All interviews were recorded and then transcribed. In a first stage, a qualitative analysis of the empirical information was executed. Specifically, 120 linguistic units of otaku jargon were identified and classified according to: 1) the type of linguistic unit (affix, word, phrase); 2) the neology; 3) the language of origin and 4) the domain or semantic field. Then, the linguistic units included in each of the categories were quantified. The units distribution in the corpus was compared according to the age of the participants who provided them. The results showed that most of the linguistic units surveyed were words that constitute loanwords from Japanese. At the same time, most of the linguistic units were categorized within the "audiovisual genre" and "social pattern" domains. Most of the units were provided by younger speakers.
