A forma-mercadoria e o método dialético: sobre a estrutura de exposição de Marx no capítulo 1 de O Capital

Abstract

Uma leitura crítica e metodologicamente orientada do argumento de Marx sobre as determinações da forma-valor do produto do trabalho no primeiro capítulo de O Capital contribui para a crescente literatura sobre a estrutura dialética da crítica de Marx à economia política, trazendo à tona aspectos frequentemente negligenciados de seu argumento. Em primeiro lugar, é traçada uma distinção crucial entre os respectivos papéis dos momentos de análise e síntese na investigação dialética e como eles se refletem na exposição ou apresentação dialética. Em segundo lugar, a forma específica do processo analítico no método dialético é tematizada. O artigo rastreia as implicações de todos esses aspectos metodológicos para uma compreensão adequada da estrutura da discussão de Marx sobre o trabalho abstrato como substância do valor nas páginas iniciais de O Capital.

A methodologically-minded critical reading of Marx's argument about the determinations of the value-form of the product of labor in the first chapter of Capital contributes to the growing literature on the dialectical structure of Marx’s critique of political economy by bringing out often-overlooked aspects of his argument. First, there is a crucial distinction between the respective roles of the stages of analysis and synthesis in the dialectical inquiry and the way in which these are reflected in the dialectical presentation. Second, the specific form of the analytical process in the dialectical method is thematized. The paper then draws the implications of all these methodological aspects for an adequate comprehension of the structure of Marx’s discussion of abstract labor as the substance of value in the initial pages of Capital.
