El fist-fucking de la libertad. La liberación sexual en dos textos teatrales de Rainer Werner Fassbinder

Abstract

Este artículo indaga la representación de la disidencia sexual en dos obras de teatro del cineasta y dramaturgo alemán Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Tropfen auf heiße Steine (escrita alrededor de 1965/6) y Der Müll, die Stadt und der Tod (1975). Ambas obras plantean visiones disidentes respecto de la época para pensar la homosexualidad. Tropfen auf heiße Steine tensiona las potencialidades de la liberación sexual con la normalización que implican las instituciones de la familia y la pareja monogámica. Der Müll, die Stadt und der Tod, por su parte, nos ofrece un devenir menor del protagonista heterosexual, proxeneta y explotador al inicio de la obra, hasta encontrar la liberación no sólo en las prácticas homosexuales sino fundamentalmente en la humillación masoquista. Leídas en conjunto, se puede percibir cómo en la obra de Fassbinder se ponen en cuestionamiento ciertos parámetros de sociabilidad homosexual que tienden a la normalización y la aceptación social, en tanto se plantean otras formas de fuga de la identidad y de la desubjetivación mediante prácticas como el BDSM y el fist-fucking.

This article examines the representation of sexual dissidence in two plays by German filmmaker and playwright Rainer Werner Fassbinder: Tropfen auf heiße Steine (written around 1965/6) and Der Müll, die Stadt und der Tod (1975). Both works present dissident views of the time for thinking about homosexuality. Tropfen auf heiße Steine stresses the potential of sexual liberation with the normalization implied by the institutions of the family and the monogamous couple. Der Müll, die Stadt und der Tod, on the other hand, offers us a minor evolution of the heterosexual protagonist, who is a pimp and an exploiter at the beginning of the play, until he finds liberation not only in homosexual practices but also –fundamentally– in masochistic humiliation. Read as a whole, it is possible to perceive how, in Fassbinder's work, certain parameters of homosexual sociability that tend towards normalization and social acceptance are put into question, while other forms of flight from identity and desubjectification through practices such as BDSM and fist-fucking are considered.
