Los términos de la paz en el centón cristiano De Verbi Incarnatione y su diálogo con el hipotexto virgiliano

Abstract

The terms of peace in the Christian Cento De Verbi Incarnatione and their dialog with the virgilian hipotext · The aim of this paper is the consideration of an episode of De Verbi Incarnatione (vv. 73-79), where Jesus Christ speaks to his followers, indicating them the way to achieve the entrance to Paradise through a peaceful way of life. However, the centonist constructs this passage with hemistichs and verses coming from extremely violent Virgilian scenes. Thisintertextual dynamic, based in the accentuation of diferences, rather than similarities, creates a tension within the cento, that serves to emphasize its ultimate alternate nature as alter ab illo.
