Una mirada subnacional y periférica de la crisis del 2001. Representaciones e interpretaciones locales sobre la coyuntura en Jujuy del diario El Pregón

Abstract

El artículo analiza las representaciones e interpretaciones del diario El Pregón deJujuy en el contexto de la crisis de 2001. Esta línea propone dos aportes centralesa la temática. En primer lugar, profundizar en el conocimiento de las representaciones sobre la crisis de 2001 desde unamirada subnacional y periférica dentro de nuestro país como es el caso del diario El Pregón de Jujuy. En este aspecto,las ciencias sociales han elaborado una vasta producción en torno al 2001 pero más centrado en los acontecimientosocurridos en Capital Federal y provincia de Buenos Aires, y también, en torno a las representaciones de los diversos actores políticos de esos ámbitos geográficos. El segundo aporte, es a la comprensión y análisis de las interpretaciones queun medio local realizó de las jornadas de 2001, tomando como punto de partida que los medios son actores políticosque buscan influir sobre las representaciones de la sociedad en su conjunto.

The article analyzes the representations and interpretations of the newspaper El Pregón de Jujuy in the context of the crisis of 2001. This line proposes two central contributions to the topic. First of all, to deepen the knowledge of the representations about the crisis of 2001 from a subnational and peripheral perspective within our country, as is the case of the newspaper El Pregón de Jujuy. In this regard, the social sciences have produced a vast production around 2001 but more focused on the events that took place in the Federal Capital and province of Buenos Aires, and also around the representations of the various political actors in these geographical areas. The second contribution is to the understanding and analysis of the interpretations that a local medium made of the 2001 days, taking as its starting point that the media are political actors that seek to influence the representations of society as a whole.
