Compromiso hacia las tareas escolares: Apoyo a la autonomía y estructura como dimensiones de la clase

Abstract

La investigación que se presenta muestra resultados obtenidos de un estudio desarrollado con docentes y alumnos de nivel primario de educación. Con el objetivo de describir las implicancias del estilo motivacional de los docentes, definido en términos de dos dimensiones que delimitan la configuración de la clase, a saber: autonomía y estructura, sobre el compromiso de los estudiantes. Participaron 11 docentes y 277 estudiantes de segundo ciclo. Para la recolección de datos se usó la observación de clase y la administración de un cuestionario. Los resultados muestran asociaciones moderadas entre compromiso con la tarea escolar y la presencia de apoyos a la autonomía y estructura. Lo encontrado tiene implicancias educativas para repensar la instrucción en pos de la implicación escolar hacia las actividades escolares.

The research presented shows results obtained from a study developed with teachers and students at the primary level of education. With the aim of describing the implications of the motivational style of teachers, defined in terms of two dimensions that define the configuration of the class, namely: autonomy and structure, on the engagement of students. 11 teachers participated and 277 second cycle students. For the data collection, observations and the administration of a questionnaire were used. The results show moderate associations between engagement witch the school task and the presence support for autonomy and structure. What has been found has educational implications for rethinking instruction in pursuit of school involvement in school activities.
