¿Cómo se escribe una vida retirada?: Kafka y sus biografías

Abstract

El presente trabajo analiza la importancia de la biografía como géneroen la conformación de las diversas figuras de autor que, a lo largo de los años,se han impuesto del escritor Franz Kafka. Para ello estudia la relación entre viday literatura como extremos en tensión a la hora de establecer una figuraciónbiográfica del autor de La metamorfosis. Desde la primera biografía propuestapor Max Brod hasta la reciente de Rainer Stach, pasando por la falsificación y ladesmitificación de diversos ensayistas que atiende a la relación obra-vida,nuestro trabajo expone cómo cada acercamiento propone una mirada sobre lavida de Kafka que, una y otra vez, malogra su principal característica: laposibilidad de rastrear un método compositivo-comparativo que podría pensarsecomo una inteligencia literaria, principal interés de toda escritura biográfica.

The present work analyzes the importance of biography as a genre in the conformation of the various author figures that, over the years, have imposed themselves on the writer Franz Kafka. For this, he studies the relationship between life and literature as extremes in tension when establishing a biographical figuration of the author of Metamorphosis. From the first biography proposed by Max Brod to the recent one by Rainer Stach, through the falsification and demystification of various essayists who attend to the work-life relationship, our work exposes how each approach proposes a look at Kafka's life that, again and again, its main feature is spoiled: the possibility of tracking a compositional method that could be thought of as a literary intelligence, the main interest of all biographical writing.
