La edición de la literatura infantil y juvenil argentina a través de las editoriales universitarias: EDUVIM y Ediciones UNL

Abstract

¿Por qué indagar en la relación entre literatura infantil y juvenil (LIJ) y editoriales?; ¿cómo se vincula la LIJ en los tramados institucionales de la edición universitaria? La LIJ es un campo cuyo desarrollo en Argentina tiene una importante tradición a partir de la existencia de un conjunto de actores y la incidencia del mundo editorial –desde la escritura, la ilustración, los intermediarios de la lectura, las políticas de lectura, entre otros–. Ahora bien, aun constituye un tema muy poco explorado el abordaje de la LIJ desde el estudio de las editoriales. Entendemos que en los últimos años la incorporación de colecciones destinadas al público infanto-juvenil en sellos universitarios como EDUVIM y Ediciones UNL contribuyó a resaltar la relevancia que esta zona de la literatura adquirió en el campo editorial. Por eso, nos proponemos reponer la relación entre el campo de la LIJ y el mercado editorial para reconstruir el proceso por el cual las editoriales universitarias se posicionaron como mediadoras de los bienes culturales y simbólicos que el campo de la LIJ puso a disposición de su público.

Why investigate the relationship between children’s and young people’s literature and publishers? ¿How is the children´s literature linked in the institutional framework of the university edition? Children´s and young people literature is a field whose development in Argentina has a long tradition from the existence of a set of actors and processes in the publishing world –from writing, illustration, reading intermediaries, reading policies, among others. However, the approach of children’s and young people’s literature from the study of publishing houses is still a very little explored topic. We understand that in recent years the incorporation of collections for children and Young people in university stamps as EDUVIM y Editions UNL helped to highlight the relevance that this área of literature acquired in the publishing field. For this reason, we propose replenish the relationship between the LIJ and the publishing market to reconstruct the process by which the university publishers positioned themselves as mediators of the cultural and symbolic godos that the field of the LIJ made available to its public.
