Ciudadanía, libertad y el problema de “los otros”

Abstract

This paper will argue that the question about whether it is essential to the idea of citizenship to include the other and respect for their freedom can only be answered if we can figure out who is "other." I will try to show that notions of citizenship and freedom are less complex than the notion of "other" as their definition concerned. To do this, I will start by defining citizenship and freedom, clearly defined concepts. Then I will focus on the philosophical problem of the extensionality of the concept of "other." This paper concludes that this problem is conditioning to answer the initial question.
