Cuidados e educação na pandemia: Uma abordagem a partir dos feminismos latino-americanos

Abstract

A pandemia da COVID-19 nos confrontou com realidades inesperadas, mas também com outras as quais os feminismos denunciam há décadas. Entre elas, o fato de ocuidado terestado majoritariamente a cargo da mulher, de maneira desigualmente distribuída. Desse modo, enquanto tudo mudava abruptamente para virtualidade (trabalho, educação, entretenimento, atividades recreativas, entre outros), as mulheres tiveram que realizar diversas tarefas de trabalho profissional, doméstico e de cuidado simultaneamente. Assim, no mesmo espaço e tempo, tiveram que cuidar e acompanhar os seus filhos/as com as tarefas da escola, higienizar os espaços, trabalhar remotamentepara o sustento da renda e prever a organização do lar diariamente. Nesteensaio,refletimos, do ponto de vista feminista e latino-americano, sobre as travessias que as mulheres têm enfrentadodiante da sobrecarga de trabalho e das responsabilidades na atual conjuntura de pandemia.

The COVID-19 pandemic has confronted us with unexpected realities, but also with others, which feminisms have been denouncing for decades. Amongthem, the fact that the care for others has mostly been in charge of women, in anunequally distributedmanner. In this way, while everything changed abruptly into the virtual world (work, education, entertainment, recreational activities, among others), women had to perform several tasks of professional, domestic and care work simultaneously. Thus, in the same space and time, they had to take care and keep up with their children’s school tasks, clean home spaces, work remotely to support their income and provide for the home daily organization. In this essay, from a feminist and Latin American point of view, we reflect on the crossings that women have been facing in the work overload and responsibilities in the current pandemic situation.
