Modos de abordar las humillaciones entre estudiantes: Un estudio desde la perspectiva de alumnos de educación secundaria

Abstract

En el marco de una investigación sobre las relaciones de humillación entre estudiantes desde la perspectiva de alumnos de educación secundaria se indagaron los modos en que los actores escolares abordan estas modalidades de vinculación. Se analizaron, por un lado, las maneras de responder a las humillaciones por parte de los alumnos que son humillados y, por otro, las intervenciones que realiza la escuela (docentes, directivos, preceptores). Los datos se obtuvieron a partir de entrevistas en profundidad a estudiantes de dos escuelas de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Los resultados revelan que existe por parte de los estudiantes que sufren estas prácticas una escasa demanda de la mediación de los docentes y directivos; lo cual se complementa con una baja intervención de las autoridades de la escuela ante estas formas de sociabilidad. De este modo, las maneras de actuar de los diversos actores componen un escenario que dificulta un abordaje institucional que permita dar soluciones a esta problemática.

As part of a research project on the relations of humiliation among secondary school students from the student perspective, this paper investigates the ways in which school actors deal with such modalities of engagement. On one hand, it looks at the ways of responding to humiliations by the students who are humiliated and, on the other hand, at any interventions made by the school (teachers, academic directors, and other teaching faculty). Data were collected mainly from in-depth interviews with students of two schools in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. From the obtained results it is noticed that there exists, from the side of the students that suffer these practices, a low demand of mediation from teachers and academic directors. This is complemented, according to the perception of the interviewees, with a low intervention rate of the school authorities in the face of these forms of sociability. Thus, such types of behavior of the various actors make up a scenario that hinders an institutional approach which would enable the emergence of potential solutions to this problem.
