Límites y continuidades: Multiterritorialidades latentes en torno al Delta Superior del Río Paraná (Argentina)

Abstract

En este artículo comparto mis avances sobre una etnografía que estoy llevando adelante en una población que vive a los bordes del delta superior del Río Paraná, zona que fue declarada como Sitio Ramsar en febrero del 2016 y a la que llegué formando -parte como becaria doctoral de Conicet- de un equipo de investigación que trabaja sobre la relación entre pobladores locales y áreas protegidas en las provincias de Misiones, Entre Ríos y Santa Fe. Me interesa dar a conocer las multi-territorialidades que atraviesa esta región, tanto en lo que respecta a los intentos de conservación como a las actividades productivas (ganadería en isla, turismo, pesca artesanal y para exportación, cultivo de oleaginosas en sus zonas limítrofes). Por otro lado, desde junio del corriente año (2017) se comenzaron a realizar las reuniones de un incipiente Comité de Manejo del Sitio Ramsar. Es importante resaltar que estas reuniones aún no son abiertas a las poblaciones locales.

In this article I share my advances from an ethnography I’m carrying forward in a population that lives on the edges of the upper delta of the Paraná River, an area that was declared a Ramsar Site in February 2016 and to which I arrive –with a government scolarship- as part of a research team that works on the relationship between local residents and protected areas in the argentinian provinces of Misiones, Entre Ríos and Santa Fe. I am interested in show the multi-territorialities that cross this region, both in terms of conservation iniciatives and productive activities (cattle ranching on-island, artisanal and export fishing, oilseed farming in its border areas and tourism). On the other hand, from June of the current year (2017) the meetings of an incipient Committee of Management of the Ramsar Site began to take place. It is important to note that these meetings are not yet open to local populations.
