"Evade". Pensar el despertar chileno a través del concepto de multitud

Abstract

Este texto se propone pensar el estallido social chileno que comenzó en octubre. Al sujeto en juego en el movimiento ha sido atribuida una falta de politicidad, ya sea en términos de representación estatal o en términos antineoliberales. Nosotros nos proponemos cambiar el punto de vista y pensar la subjetividad que se ha manifestado y se manifiesta en las plazas de Chile a través del concepto de multitud, tal y como ha sido abordado por autores como Paolo Virno, Michael Hardt y Antonio Negri. El texto se compone de una breve introducción; dos apartados principales donde esbozamos una descripción de las principales características del modelo chileno y los alcances del concepto de multitud; y algunas consideraciones finales.

This paper focuses on the chilean social uprising that has broken out last october. A lack of politicization has been attributed to the subject of the movement, both in State representation and antineoliberal sense. I propose to change the perspective and to think the subjectivity that emerged and that is still occupying streets and squares of Chile through Paolo Virno, Michael Hardt and Antonio Negri’s concept of multitude. The paper consists in a short introduction; two central paragraphs where I outline a decription of the main characteristics of the chilean model and the significances of the “multitude”; finally I sketch out some final considerations.
