La producción poética carcelaria argentina : un estatus ambiguo

Abstract

Este trabajo propone reflexionar acerca del estatus de la poesía compuesta en las cárceles de la última dictadura argentina entre 1976 y 1983. Los numerosos testimonios de los sobrevivientes que surgieron esos últimos años revelaron las múltiples actividades desarrolladas en las cárceles de la dictadura, en particular, la práctica sistemática de la escritura poética en casi todos los centros penitenciarios del país. Sin embargo, esta producción no suele ser estudiada por su valor literario sino más bien histórico, como producto exclusivo del encierro. En primer lugar, trataremos pues de entender el surgimiento de esta poesía dentro y partir del contexto cultural argentino y latinoamericano de aquella época; y, en segundo lugar, volveremos a pensar el estatus de los autores de la prisión y, por ende, de sus poemas.

This work seeks to reflect on the status of the poetry written in prisons of the last Argentinean dictatorship between 1976 and 1983. The numerous testimonies of survivors that have emerged in the last years revealed multiple activities developed in prisons in the dictatorship, in particular, the systematic practice of writing poetry in almost every penitentiary in the country. However, this production is not often studied for its literary value, but more for its historic one, as an exclusive product of confinement. First, we will try to understand de rise of this poetry in, and from, the Argentinean and Latin-American cultural context from this period, and second, we will return to thinking about the status of the authors in prison, and therefore, of their poems.
