A diez años de BRICS: eclipse occidental, renacer asiático

Abstract

En 2009, los gobiernos de Brasil, Rusia, India, China y, posteriormente, Sudáfrica se nuclearon en torno al ya mundialmente reconocido acrónimo BRICS. A diez años de la conformación de este bloque, cabe preguntarse: ¿qué réditos han obtenido cada uno de sus miembros como resultado de la participación en este grupo? Sobre la base del método histórico interpretativo, el presente trabajo tiene por objeto analizar la evolución individual de cada uno de los estados miembros de BRICS a fin de precisar las posibles ventajas que el bloque significó para cada uno de ellos.

In 2009, the governments of Brazil, Russia, India, China and then South Africa were grouped around the globally recognized BRICS acronym. Ten years after the creation of this block, it is worth asking: What benefits have each of its members obtained as a result of participating in this block? The purpose of this paper is to analyze the individual evolution of each of the member states of BRICS in order to specify the possible advantages that the block meant for each one of them.
