Los dispositivos del complot en Kentukis, de Samanta Schweblin

Abstract

Kentukis tematiza los núcleos semánticos de la ciencia ficción contemporánea desde una enunciación intimista que exhibe los siniestros vínculos humanos en clave tecnológica. Proponemos una lectura alegórica de los aspectos más oscuros de las vidas privadas representadas, que cifran el carácter fragmentario y antagónico de la totalidad social. El complot es el instrumento que habilita este análisis, ya que funciona como mediación entre el texto individual y su significado colectivo, legible en los niveles interpretativos de la hermenéutica materialista. Así, las microconspiraciones relatadas dicen tanto sobre el carácter secreto de lo real como sobre los mecanismos de la ficción.

Kentukis thematizes the issues of contemporary science fiction from an intimate enunciation which exhibits the sinister human bonds in a technological key. We propose an allegorical reading of the darkest aspects of the narrated private lives, which encrypt the fragmented and antagonistic nature of the social totality. The plot is the instrument that enables this analysis, since it works as a mediation between the individual text and the collective meaning, from the interpretative dimensions of the materialistic hermeneutics. Thus, the narrated micro-conspiracies say as much about the secret trait of reality as they do about fiction mechanisms.
