Actores sociales colectivos: Dimensiones de análisis para pensar la categoría desde la historia social

Abstract

El artículo reflexiona acerca del término “actor social colectivo” desde la perspectiva de la historia social y el aporte de la sociología, concentrando el análisis en cuatro nociones provistas por esos campos disciplinares que combinadas dan cuenta del proceso de constitución de sujetos colectivos. Se proponen aquí dimensiones objetivas y subjetivas para dar cuenta de la construcción de un actor social colectivo: entorno, acontecimiento, acción e identidad. La investigación es cualitativa y plantea en primer lugar una revisión sobre el tema en la producción historiográfica occidental entre el último cuarto del siglo XX y la presente década y en la segunda parte plantea y discute los conceptos que convergen para explicar la conformación de un actor social colectivo.

The article reflects on the term "collective social actor" from the perspective of social history and the contribution of sociology, concentrating the analysis on four notions provided by those disciplinary fields that combined account for the process of constitution of collective subjects. Objective and subjective dimensions are proposed here to account for the construction of a collective social actor: environment, event, action and identity. The research is qualitative and proposes in the first place a revision on the subject in the western historiographical production between the last quarter of the 20th century and the present decade and in the second part it raises and discusses the concepts that converge to explain the conformation of a social actor collective.
