Paisaje cultural y patrimonio en la construcción del hábitat rural en tierras secas no irrigadas del noreste de Mendoza (Argentina): El caso de Lagunas del Rosario

Abstract

El trabajo indaga en el paisaje cultural de tierras secas no irrigadas del noreste de la provincia de Mendoza (Argentina) haciendo foco en la construcción del hábitat rural. El abordaje del paisaje involucra no solo la realidad material de un determinado territorio sino que también comprende los aspectos intangibles, que inciden diferencialmente en la comprensión del hábitat. El objetivo radica en analizar al paisaje cultural en la construcción del hábitat rural y su consideración como patrimonio de tierras secas no irrigadas. Para ello se recurrió a un estudio de caso y se utilizó metodología cualitativa desde la observación directa y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los resultados muestran que el paisaje presenta cambios, donde quedan en evidencia las estrategias que despliegan los pobladores para adaptarse a la dinámica territorial y los diversos elementos materiales e intangibles que conforman al paisaje. Finalmente, se da cuenta del paisaje de Lagunas del Rosario como patrimonio cultural en tierras secas no irrigadas, donde se conjugan aspectos históricos y actuales, materiales e intangibles.

The research studies the cultural landscape of non-irrigated dry lands of northeastern Mendoza (Argentina) focusing on the construction of the rural habitat. The approach to the landscape involves not only the material reality of a territory but also includes the intangible aspects that differentially influence the understanding of the habitat. The objective is to analyze the landscape in the construction of the rural habitat and its consideration as cultural heritage of non-irrigated dry lands. For this purpose, we used a case study and qualitative methodology mainly from direct observation and semi-structured interviews. The results show that the landscape presents changes, where the strategies deployed by the inhabitants to adapt to the territorial dynamics and the diverse material and intangible elements that make up the landscape are evident. Finally, the landscape of Lagunas del Rosario is presented as cultural heritage in dry, non-irrigated lands, where historical and present aspects, both tangible and intangible ones, are combined.
