Reforma, revolución y contrarrevolución: El movimiento estudiantil argentino entre laica o libre y la misión Ivanissevich, 1956-1974

Abstract

Este escrito constituye un artículo de reflexión sobre las investigaciones recientes acerca del movimiento estudiantil argentino durante los ?largos años 60?. En una primera parte se presentan algunos rasgos de su historia anterior, signada por el proceso de Reforma Universitaria y sus epígonos más salientes, la Iglesia Católica y el peronismo. A continuación, se desarrolla una exposición que comienza con las luchas de Laica o Libre por el monopolio estatal de la educación, entre 1956 y 1958 y concluye con el terrorismo de Estado bajo la Misión Ivanissevich, entre 1974 y 1975. Sobre el final se esboza una conclusión: la radicalización del período tiene mayor relación con las transformaciones en la militancia reformista que con la influencia del peronismo entre los estudiantes.

This papper is an essay of reflection on the recent investigations about the Argentine student movement during the long sixties. In the first part we present some features of its previous history, marked by the process of University Reform and the action of its most outstanding epigones: the Catholic Church and Peronism. Below is an exhibition that begins with the struggles of Laica o Libre, for the state monopoly of education, between 1956 and 1958 and concludes with State terrorism under the Ivanissevich Mission, between 1974 and 1975. About the end is outlined one conclusion: the radicalization of the period is more related with transformations in the reformist militancy than to the influence of Peronism among the students.
