El espejo y el abismo:La presencia del teatro en el cine moderno argentino

Abstract

El artículo busca examinar distintas formas de inscripción de espectáculos y actividades teatrales presentes en un conjunto de obras pertenecientes al cine moderno argentino. A partir del análisis fílmico de producciones realizadas entre 1954 y 1976, el texto intentará diagramar la existencia de dos modalidades complementarias: las citas al universo teatral como mecanismo especular, que permite constatar la búsqueda de una consagración horizontal entre ambas disciplinas, y la inclusión de elementos teatrales como recurso que posibilita la aparición de una puesta en abismo de la representación.

The article seeks to examine different forms of inscription of spectacles and theatrical activities present in a group of modern Argentine films. From the filmic analysis of productions made between 1954 and 1976, the text will try to lay out the existence of two complementary modalities: the references to the theatrical universe as a specular mechanism that allows to verify the search of a horizontal consecration between both disciplines; and the inclusion of theatrical elements as a resource that enables the appearance of a mise en abyme of representation.
