Sobre la fatiga de los materiales y de las formas: una reflexión sobre Mort Cinder

Abstract

Este artículo tiene como objetivo trabajar la historieta Mort Cinder con la intención de rastrear cómo la dimensión gráfica de la historieta tensiona entre el arte y el mercado en el contexto de los modernos años sesenta y en correlación a los procedimientos estéticos del lenguaje historietístico y a las novedades estilisticas de la época. Para ello se abordarán las lecturas de Oscar Masotta sobre la obra brecciana y las relaciones que Mort Cinder, como producción excepcional y paradigmática estableció con el campo historietístico y artístico de la etapa. Se trata del análisis de una estética y de una narrativa mixturada y cruzada por operaciones complejas, inestables y extraordinariamente, provisorias.

This article aims to work over the comic Mort Cinder with the intention to track how the graphic dimension stresses the relation between art and market in the context of the modern sixties and in correlation to aesthetic procedures in the sequential language and the stylistic developments of the time. In order to do so, the article will review Oscar Masotta's works over Alberto Breccia's art in Mort Cinder as a paradigmatic and exceptional work from the period. It is an aesthetic analysis of mixtured and crossed operations that are unstable, but temporary at the same time.
