Ciclo “200 años”: el encuentro del teatro y el cine en la televisión argentina

Abstract

En el 2007 tuvo lugar en la televisión argentina un ciclo titulado “200 años”, un proyecto lanzado por la emisora estatal Canal 7 y que consistió en la convocatoria de reconocidos dramaturgos y cineastas de nuestro país para que realizaran, de manera conjunta, un telefilm unitario. En este artículo propongo examinar la experiencia de este ciclo desde su concepción hasta su emisión, prestando especial atención a las singularidades dentro de la heterogeneidad de las propuestas. En cada una de ellas, puede identificarse la poética personal de sus creadores y un novedoso empleo de los dispositivos narrativos, los cuales conjugan el lenguaje teatral y el cinematográfico al tiempo que se adaptan a las exigencias y requerimientos del medio televisivo. Este ciclo constituye la piedra fundacional de la renovación estilística y temática que se asentará en el medio televisivo en los años siguientes, el cual, a partir de las medidas derivadas de la implementación de la Ley 26.522 de Servicios de Comunicación Audiovisual en el 2009, será el escenario por el que frecuentarán y explorarán nuevos lenguajes los creadores consagrados del teatro y el cine argentino.

In 2007 the state broadcaster Channel 7 launched a series of telefilms entitled "200 years", in which recognized local playwriters and filmmakers jointly undertook the making of a unitary telefilm. In this article I propose to examine the experience of this cycle from its conception to its broadcast, paying special attention to the singularities within the heterogeneity of the proposals. In each case, it is possible to identify both the personal poetics of its creators and an innovative use of narrative devices, through the combination of the theatrical and cinematic language while at the same time adapting to the demands and requirements of television. This cycle turned out to be the foundation stone of the stylistic and thematic renewal that will settle in television during the next few years, starting in 2009 with the implementation of Law 26,522 of Audiovisual Communication Services, on which recognized creators of Argentinian theater and cinema will explore on new languages.
