José Lezama Lima y la búsqueda de una cultura nacional

Abstract

El escritor cubano José Lezama Lima comenzó a estudiar Derecho en 1929 y se recibió de abogado en 1938. En esa época fundó Verbum, una revista que pertenecía a la Asociación de Estudiantes de Derecho. Este trabajo se propone elaborar una lectura de la revista y de algunos otros textos iniciales de Lezama Lima en diálogo con la constelación de ideas formada durante la Reforma Universitaria de 1923.

Cuban writer Jose Lezama Lima began studying law in 1929 and became a lawyer in 1938. At that time he founded Verbum, a magazine that belonged to the Law Students Association. This work aims to develop a reading of the magazine and some other of Lezama Lima’s initial texts in dialogue with the constellation of ideas formed during the University Reform of 1923.
