The present work analyzed the psychological effects of the covid-19 pandemic from the perspective of Environmental Psychology. The coexistence of other crisis situations in addition to health, such as the environmental, economic and social, is evidenced. Three theoretical perspectives are proposed to understand the different psychological reactions to the pandemic: psychoenvironmental theories, psychoanalytic and chronobiological concepts, which provide an explanatory basis for the understanding of individual vulnerability and community behaviors of the pandemic, by integrating them within a model of person-environment interaction. The work suggests that attending to psychological resources such as adaptation, resilience and personality type will allow predicting social behavior to a global health emergency such as that of covid-19.
