Anclaje, dinámicas e impactos territoriales de la cadena global de cítricos dulces en el nordeste argentino

Abstract

El artículo analiza firmas insertas en circuitos globalizados de exportación de frutas frescas, así como la interfase empresas-territorios. Se focaliza en la producción argentina de cítricos dulces y particularmente en un espacio productivo, y se interesa por cómo se traduce la construcción de los circuitos globales en los espacios y actores locales. Se concluye que existen diferentes grados de anclaje territorial y combinaciones variables de fijación y movilidad por parte de las empresas. La adopción de una modalidad de agricultura empresarial multilocalizada, orientada al aprovechamiento de las peculiaridades de los diferentes ambientes locales, conduce a la desarticulación de espacios en función de sus características productivas y de sus diversos contextos sociales e institucionales. De esta forma se promueve la conformación de agentes de características flexibles, transformando su reproducción en contingente.

The article analyzes firms involved in globalized circuits of fresh fruit exports, and the interfaces between firms and territories. With a focus on the Argentinean sweet citrus production and specifically on one productive space, it is interested in the construction of global circuits and its impacts on local spaces and actors. Drawing upon a combination of quantitative and qualitative sources a typology of companies and indicators of anchorage are developed, in order to uncover the "black box" of corporate action. The analysis shows different degrees of territorial anchorage on the part of firms, and variable combinations of fixation and mobility in their behavior. However, the adoption of a multilocalized structure, oriented to take advantage of the peculiarities of the different settings, leads to the disarticulation of spaces according to their productive and socio-institutional character. It promotes the construction of flexible agents, transforming their reproduction in contingent.
