El fin de la [Post]-Modernidad o de la restitución del mundo

Abstract

El posmodernismo era (o es) y se proponía (y propone aún) como la superación metafísica (aun en su supuesto anti-meta-fisicismo) de la Modernidad (tardía) de principios del siglo XX, en particular, de sus riesgos ideológicos y políticos. En el presente trabajo se aborda su genealogía y se discute ―como paradoja institutiva― la postulación posmoderna de que toda forma de saber debe ser mirada con sospecha, precisamente porque es expresión de alguna forma de poder. Sin embargo, si el saber es poder, la instancia que debe producir la emancipación (es decir el saber) es al mismo tiempo la instancia que produce subordinación y dominio. Esta inédita (post)dialéctica, no tiene simplemente un matiz histórico-abstracto teórico sino que implica y produce precisas actuaciones prácticas. No obstante, más allá de las teorizaciones ideológicas del pensamiento débil o de la práctica efectiva del posmodernismo epocal, se señala como una de las grandes contribuciones del pormodernismo «teórico», la teoría general de la narratividad extendida en tanto universalización de las teorías del relato y de la apertura ―y la consecuente estipulación de una epistemología y metodología de la lectura semiótica de la pan-signicidad― y su consecuente deconstrucción significativa de los presupuestos indecidibles de toda enunciación y de cada acogida (interpretantes).

Postmodernism was (or is) and proposed (and still proposes) itself as the metaphysical improvement ―even in its anti-meta-physicism― of (late) Modernity in the early twentieth century, particularly, of its ideological and political risks. In this paper its genealogy is addressed and it is also discussed ―as a constitutive paradox― the postmodern postulation that all forms of knowledge must be regarded with suspicion, precisely because it is an expression of some form of power. However, if knowledge is power, the instance that emancipation (i.e. knowledge) must produce is at the same time the instance that produces subordination and domination. This unprecedented (post) dialectics, does not have just an abstract historical theoretical nuance, it also implies and produces precise practical actions. Nevertheless, beyond the ideological theories of weak thought or of the effective practice of epochal postmodernism, one of the major contributions of the "theoretical" postmodernism, is the general narrative theory extended as the universalization of the theories of narrative and openness ―and the consequent provision of an epistemology and methodology of the semiotic reading of pan-signicity― and its consequent signification deconstruction of the undecidable presuppositions of every enunciation and every reception (interpretants).
