De prueba de identificación a fundamento de identidad personal: Una problematización de la apelación al ADN en el discurso de Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo

Abstract

Este artículo se centra en el discurso de la Asociación de Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo y tiene como objetivo principal analizar, problematizar y relativizar la apelación al ADN como fundamento de la identidad personal de las y los niños desaparecidos-apropiados durante la última dictadura cívico-militar (1976-1983) en Argentina. Para ello, en la primera parte del escrito, siguiendo las elaboraciones de Paul Ricoeur, distinguimos dos sentidos de la noción de identidad (idem e ipse). En la segunda avanzamos en el análisis del rol del Estado en la construcción de identidad y parentesco; y, en la tercera y última parte, nos detenemos en el trabajo de re-narrativización identitaria que implica la restitución de niños-jóvenes apropiados durante y por el terrorismo estatal

This article focuses on the discourse of the Association of Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo, with the primary aim of analyzing, problematizing and relativizing the use of DNA as a basis for the personal identity of children who disappeared/were “appropriated” during the last civic-military dictatorship (1976-1983) in Argentina. Following Paul Ricoeur’s elaborations, the first part of the article distinguishes two senses of the notion of identity (idem and ipse). The second part analyzes the role of the State in the construction of identity and kinship. The third part looks at the re-narrativization of identity involved in the restitution of children/youths who were “appropriated” during and by state terrorism
