dc.description.abstract
In this paper a technique for describing the variations of the critical frequency of ionospheric F2-layer foF2 at middle latitudes during the 24 hours after geomagnetic storm sudden commencement is proposed, which serves to obtain foF2 values at a location where there are no observations. The reliability of the technique has been verified during both moderate and intense geomagnetic storms.
